Baby Babu is a wonderful new company started by a mom and dad team of twins in Florida. When I was first contacted to review one of their diapers, I thought it may just be another pocket diaper. I was pleasantly surprised as I opened the package though.

I was sent a one size pocket diaper in Grape (purple). I'm always a fan of double snaps so I really liked that there were two rows AND a hip snap. Something else I found really handy about this particular diaper is that not only is there a pocket opening in the back, but there is another opening in the front as well as a snap to secure the insert in place. It's also nice to be able to shake the inert out of the front pocket when it's dirty. As you can see below, P Grizl is on the medium rise setting and towards the larger setting around the waist.

I also want to add that in these photos the diaper was actually double stuffed for night time so as trim as it looks, it's even trimmer during the day time!  And yes, you were reading that last line correctly, it's such a great diaper it can even be used for an entire night, and we have a pretty heavy wetter on our hands.

Probably my favorite feature on this has to be the double gussets. I just like the idea of extra protection, especially in the leg area. I've had a lot of diapers wick around the legs and while at home that's not the biggest deal, in public it quickly leads to wet clothes and usually a wet spot just above my right hip. ;)

This diaper is truly made with ease for parent sin mind. I mean, parents of twins definitely have some advice to offer in streamlining some aspects of parenting. =) It's important to mention that even with these great added features, a Baby Babu one size pocket style cloth diaper retails for only $11.99 and come with an insert featuring a snap so that you can snap the insert in near the front of the diaper and be sure it's not going to move around or bunch up in between baby's legs.

Smacks
As I've mentioned before, we have only barely gotten into the world of fleece. I am really liking it for nap times and occasionally for bedtime. I stumbled across this wonderful WAHM Deanna behind Smacks that makes custom fleece soakers. but get this, she also makes them with ruffles on the bum!!

This is SO cute for summertime since she can wear her fleece as extra protection, yet it looks so darn adorable popping out from a dress or skirt. I provided measurements and print was left up to Deanna. This particular cover is a single thickness and has an additional soaker layer.

Even after multiple washes and drying cycles, the fleece cover has not become pilly or dingy looking. I did notice that there was some shrinking and it was a bit snug faster than I would have liked though. Even over a pocket diaper you can see that it is still pretty trim, considering there's ruffles on the bum. =) I do also have to note that the ruffles make the cover require a little more time to dry but I line dry so I'm not sure the time difference would be noticeable in a machine.

Keeping on the same line as the Baby Babu diaper, Smacks fleece covers are reasonable priced. Pricing ranges from $7.00 - $11.00 and that is WITH the ruffles. =) Fleece soakers are $2 less without them.
