Interesting..

--List 15 interesting facts about yourself

1. I was the Cheerleading Captain in high school. (Yep, that's me in the air.)

2. I did athletic training/sports medicine with our high school sports teams for 3 years. Then went to college for it before witnessing a broken femur and immediately changing my major.

3. My all time favorite class I've ever taken was nude figure drawing. The human body is a beautiful thing.

4. I have a huge pet peeve of people driving with their blinkers on.

5. My hubby is and always has been my very best friend. It's what our relationship is built upon and I wouldn't have it any other way.

6. I think I really want to look into a water birth when we get pregnant with our next child. I was interested with the first one but I think I'd be more comfortable now that I've been through birth once.

7. I'm a pretty liberal person living in a conservative area and sometimes it can be tough to handle.

8. I have a whole trail of tattooed stars on the right side of my body from hip to neck.

9. I actually enjoy picking weeds. To explain, we just moved into a nice new home and it has a large garden plot. There are tons of raspberry bushes, strawberry plants, and onions planted. There's also a peach tree and a plum tree. The only problem is that nobody had lived in this house for a while so it needed some love put into it. My hubby and I spent a few days weeding pretty hardcore and already you can see a HUGE difference. I still have a section in the raspberry bushes to do, so I won't show you photos...yet. =) I get to go outside and pick the weeds by myself without having to worry about the little one. It's nice to just enjoy the sunshine and sounds of being outside and not have a sneaky toddler eating all your pansies while your back is turned. I can get a lot more done and I'm really hoping to finish it all up this weekend including transplanting our other vegetable plants we have and planting some others that are new. I'm so excited to have our first real garden and to actually be able to use the awesome products my hubby sells, that the picking weeds part isn't a burden...yet. Lol.

10. My best friend (other than my hubby) and I have been friends for something like 5 years and have never even met in person--! It's funny too because she lives about 3 hours from where I lived in Missouri and it seemed hard to match up plans to see each other from that distance. Now I live about 25 hours away from her and she's still my very best friend that I can talk to about anything. I'm so excited to have a free schedule for this next trip to Missouri because I will finally be seeing her and her little boy. =) Eeek!! xoxo

11. I participate in online craft swaps. I sign up with a group of people and we choose things to make each other off of our list. It's fun and not only do I get things made for me that I can't do, but I learn to make new things by picking off the lists of others.

12. I love to surround my little girl with handmade and make as much for our home as I can. Check out my growing list of TUTORIALS!

13. I've never been a skirts and dresses kind of girl but I'm totally feeling it this summer and I'm going for it. =)

14.  Not that it stuck with me, but I learned Latin in 4th grade.

15. I want to take my photography to a different place and focus on doing boudoir photography. Here's one I've taken. =)

So tell me, what's interesting about you??

  2. awesome list!
#4 - I can't stand that! I always want to honk at them but then I imagine they're going to shoot me so I don't...

#9 - food gardens are the best, I might have done an "I have garlic scapes" happy dance in my garden this morning, it might have been witnessed by someone else

#13 - go for the skirts and dresses! I hardly ever wear pants unless I'm gardening or doing some heavy duty animal wrangling, I can do just about anything in a skirt and flip flops!

  5. I LOVE that you love nude figure drawing! I was an art major, and I have an absolute adoration with the human body - especially the female body. It's hard, this day and age (in this country, especially) for people to understand the beauty of it rather than the sexualization of it. Two very different (though related) things!

    1. OMG, yes! I display my art all over our house and living in a conservative area, people don't always appreciate it, even family. But that's who I am and I surround myself in beauty.

  14. Hi!
Reading this opened my mind and I thought "my post isnt very interesting" lol...anyway, my hubby is my best friend too (even though he is very bossy, set in his ways and stubborn :)
I live in a place where people always tell me what I think is wrong (kinda like your liberal/conservative thing)
I love picking weeds too and Im also a jeans chick but branching out into skirts (I have an awesome pair of boots I want to show off this winter).
Ok...totally took over, but had to get it out hehe
Thanks for letting me join your challenge!

  15. We have a lot in common! Husband is my best friend, I hate the people with blinkers on, I love yard work, and am liberal. I thankfully live in a liberal area, but it's not as green and crunchy as I would like so I feel you on that. I get a lot of weird looks and comments about my parenting style, too.

  16. I wished I was in a cheerleading squad back in high school. But I didn't have the 'look' and athletic body :D

  17. My 4th baby was suppose to be a water birth at a birthing center. I went 6 days late with her and when she decided to come there was no stopping her, we didn't have time to do a water birth LOL. I did insist my midwife fill the pool..she agreed to do it, tho she thought I would go too quick. It was maybe a quarter full by time I gave birth. We weren't even at the birthing center for 30 mins yet. Her aide walked in to me holding my daughter already. My last baby was my best birthing experience by far, I say go for it!
