It isn't much, but the other day I randomly posted to a local mom's group on Facebook that I needed to get rid of some baby clothes. In less than 10 minutes I had found a mom expecting twins (surprise!) and had agreed to give her 4 boxes of clothes that I just didn't want to take the time to try to sell. I also sent her home with 4 large bags of baby food in jars. I wouldn't use them since my little girl is already almost 19 months but I thought she could use them for her other little one. I could've made some money on it but it was much easier for me to just give them away all at once. Plus, I know that they will be put to good use with twin girls on the way.
What have you done as a random act of kindness lately?

So sweet! My brother just had his first child, a beautiful baby girl, and I keep taking them things! I have someone making a dress for her right now.
ReplyDeleteLovely! That's a great thing to do, and I'm sure she'll pass along what she can to a friend in need when she's finished with the clothes.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure she is so appreciative of your generosity! Getting clothes from others is so helpful and makes a huge difference. That money that would have been spent on clothes can be used on something else that is needed - like food for her twins.
ReplyDeleteI am sure she THANKED you a million times over. What a great random act of kindness.
ReplyDeleteThat was incredibly sweet of you! One of my best friends has a girl who is almost 2 years old now, and she has sent me a ton of her stuff that she has outgrown. And it is all so cute! It has been a blessing to not have to shell out the money for new clothes for baby girl every couple of months. :)
ReplyDeleteOhmigawsh. I feel woefully devoid of recent randomness. I wrote my blog post and now... will intentionally get out there and commit some random acts of kindness.
ReplyDeleteGreat post & thanks for the inspiration!

That's nice!
ReplyDeleteAmazing!! So many people blessed us over the years with clothes/shoes for our kids that we would never be able to afford.
ReplyDeleteThanks for helping another mom have a huge weight lifted off her shoulders! I'm sure with twins on the way she's wondering how to get everything together!
